Cibidoil™ outlines its 10 Point Cibidoil™ Quality Guarantee

As part of our continuous efforts to ensure that all of our actions are a true reflection of Cibidoil™’s founding values of Quality, Clarity, Integrity and Trust, we have decided to formally outline and make public our core quality commitments.

Whilst we hold ourselves accountable for upholding standards that fall well outside the remit of those listed out in our 10 Point Cibidoil™ Quality Guarantee, we believe that these 10 commitments are at the core of what distinguishes our raw full spectrum CBD oils from other CBD oils available on the market.

Our 10 Point Cibidoil™ Quality Guarantee will also provide our customers with additional peace of mind when it comes to understanding precisely what it is they are, and are not, putting into their body when they consume our Laboratory Grade Raw Full Spectrum CBD Oils™.

The 10 Point Cibidoil™ Quality Guarantee

  • 3) Independent laboratory testing.
  • 4) Clear and compliant labeling.
  • 5) THC < 0.2% w/w.
  • 6) No winterisation or artificial decarboxylation.
  • 7) No isolates.
  • 8) No synthetic cannabinoids.
  • 9) No harmful solvents (CO2 extraction only).
  • 10) No MCT oil, coconut oil, olive oil, (always 100% full plant Cannabis Sativa L.).

Each our of commitments is explained in more detail below.

1) Compliance with Cannabis Trades Association UK rules & guidelines.

In order to become and remain a member of the Cannabis Trades Association UK, Cibidoil has committed to complying with all EU and UK laws, policies and regulations, alongside the rules and regulations of the CTA UK.

2) Manufactured with 100% full plant industrial hemp (Cannabis Sativa L.).

Unlike certain brands which sell low grade CBD oils produced from a combination of second choice cannabis plant material (trim, seeds) and / or cheap non-cannabis derived carrier oils such as MCT oil, coconut or olive oil for example, we exclusively use 100% industrial hemp (Cannabis Sativa L.) and all parts therof (seeds, stalks, leaves, flowers).

3) Independent laboratory testing.

All of our oils undergo independent laboratory testing to ensure that they contain what they claim to contain and do not contain anything that they do not claim to contain. These tests are carried out in addition to the tests carried out internally during production, for an unbiased and objective analysis of our products.

4) Clear and compliant labeling.

In order to remain fully compliant – and in order for our customers to understand exactly what our products are, how and where they are produced, how to use them, how to store them, until when they are best consumed, which batch they originate from and where we can be contacted if need be – we adhere to clear labelling directives set out by the UK and the EU.

5) THC < 0.2% w/w.

THC is a controlled substance and is effectively illegal in the UK and in most European countries. However, it is present in very low concentrations in industrial hemp (Cannabis Sativa L.), which can be legally cultivated if, amongst other criteria, it contains no more than 0.2% in dried plant matter. Based on the current application of the above guidelines in positive law, it is legal to sell CBD food supplements which contain no more than the aforementioned 0.2% THC. We guarantee that our products will never contain more than 0.2% THC weight on weight.

6) No winterisation or artificial decarboxylation.

Our view is that raw full spectrum oils are best-suited to delivering all the natural goodness the cannabis plant has to offer, in a pure, minimally processed and easily ingestible form. We don’t add anything to our oils and we strive to remove as little as possible. Nor do we attempt to modify the phytochemical profile of our oils through additional processing such as winterisation, distillation or decarboxylation.

Every additional step in the manufacturing process leads to the loss, deterioration or transformation of compounds such as terpenes, waxes, pigments or cannabinoid acids. These compounds are believed to behave in synergy with the other phytocannabinoids and compounds naturally present in the cannabis plant. Removing them negates the potential for this synergy, it it is proven, to occur inside the human body. (Please feel free to check our FAQ section for further details about winterisation or decarboxylation).

7) No isolates.

Isolates are, as their name suggests, isolated molecules (such as CBD for example) generally available in a powdered form. They are mixed with non-cannabis carrier oils (often MCT, coconut or oilve) and offer a reductive and restrictive approach of cannabis-derived food supplements. They do not offer exposure to the multitude of other compounds naturally present in the industrial henp plant and negate the potential for all the coumponds present in the industrial hemp plant to behave synergistically.

8) No synthetic cannabinoids.

Whilst more and more synthetic cannabinoids are flooding the market, be in recreational drugs or in pharmaceuticals, our approach targets the opposite end of the scope. We do not use synthetic cannabinoids and our products are 100% natural and 100% legal.

9) No harmful solvents (CO2 extraction only).

There are many different ways to produce CBD oil. The 2 main methods are hydrocarbon extraction and CO2 extraction.

Hydrocarbon extraction is the cheapest and perhaps most commom extraction method used to strip the cannabinoids and other compounds from the cannabis plant material. The process involves the use of potentially harmful and hasardous hydrocarbons such as propane or butane as the solvent to extract the concentrate. The risk for the consumer with this method is the hydrocarbon residue that might remain if the extraction is not carried out correctly.

On the other hand, CO2 extraction is perhaps the cleanest method available. CO2 is already widely used in the food manufacturing industry, to decaffeinate instant coffee or carbonate fizzy drinks for example. The FDA in the USA has deemed the CO2 extraction process as “Generally Regarded as Safe.” They have not granted the same approval to Butane Extraction. In addition CO2 extraction generally extracts with a higher terpene profile than a typical hydrocarbon process would. However it is much more expensive to carry out due to the high levels of capital investment required to purchase the CO2 extractor.

In order to provide the safest and highest quality product to our customers we have decided that we would exclusively offer CBD oils extracted via the CO2 method, even if this means that our products cost us more.

10) No MCT oil, coconut oil, olive oil, (always 100% full plant Cannabis Sativa L.).

In order to provide a truly authentic product to our customers we offer oils manufactured exclusively from 100% full plant industrial hemp (Cannabis Sativa L.). We don’t try to cut corners and we don’t skimp on quality. Our products do not contain MCT oil, coconut oil, olive oil.
